Some people think that online courses will soon replace traditional classroom teaching at universities. Others believe that face-to-face teaching will always be essential. Discuss both views and give your own opinion.
Nowadays, online learning is becoming more and more popular among the students. Some people think it will replace the classroom teaching in universities, while others believe that face-to-face teaching will always be necessary. In this essay I will discuss both view and give my opinion.
On the one hand, online courses have many advantage. Students can study from anywhere and they can watch the lectures again if they did not understand. For example, a student who work part-time can attend class in the evening without travelling to campus. Also, online courses is usually cheaper, so more people can afford a higher education.
On the other hand, classroom teaching gives students the chance to ask questions directly and discuss with there classmates. Many subjects, such as medicine or engineering, need practical training in laboratorys which cannot be done online. In addition, some students find it difficult to stay motivated when they study alone at home.
In my opinion, online learning will not completely replace classroom teaching. I think the best solution is a mix of both, where theory is taught online and practical skills are learned on campus. This way universities can give flexibility to students and still keep the quality of education.
In conclusion, although online courses are convenient and cheap, face-to-face teaching is still important. Universities should combine both methods to meet the needs of all students.
The essay addresses both views and provides a clear personal opinion with a balanced hybrid solution. However, there are several grammatical errors (subject-verb agreement, prepositions, spelling) that detract from clarity. The argument is well-structured but could benefit from more sophisticated vocabulary and specific examples.

Online learning has grown significantly in recent years, prompting debate about its potential to replace traditional university education. While some argue that online courses will eventually supersede classroom teaching, others maintain that face-to-face instruction remains indispensable. Both perspectives merit consideration.
Proponents of online education highlight substantial advantages. Students enjoy flexibility to study from any location and can review lectures multiple times, benefiting those balancing work and study. Additionally, reduced infrastructure costs make higher education more accessible and affordable to diverse populations globally. These practical benefits have undoubtedly accelerated online adoption.
Conversely, classroom teaching offers irreplaceable benefits. Direct interaction with instructors enables immediate clarification of complex concepts, while peer collaboration fosters critical thinking and social development. Furthermore, disciplines like medicine, engineering, and laboratory sciences require hands-on practical training that cannot be adequately replicated online. Many students also struggle with self-motivation in isolated learning environments.
In my view, a blended approach represents the optimal solution. Universities should integrate online delivery for theoretical content with on-campus sessions for practical skills, discussions, and assessments. This hybrid model maximizes accessibility and flexibility while preserving educational
Speaking · Respond to a Situation
You borrowed a classmate's laptop for a group project, but it stopped working while you were using it. Your classmate asks you what happened. What would you say to them?
Hi Priya, I'm really sorry about your laptop. Yesterday I was working on our presentation and suddenly the screen went black and it didn't turn on again. I didn't drop it or anything, I think maybe the battery have some problem. I already took it to the repair shop near the campus and they said they will check it tomorrow. Of course I will pay for the repair, and until then you can use my laptop for the project. Again, I'm very sorry.
You handled the situation appropriately with a clear apology, explanation of what happened, and concrete steps taken to resolve it. There are minor grammar errors ("battery have" should be "battery has"; "they will check" should be "they will be checking" or "they'll check") that slightly affect accuracy, but your response is polite, relevant, and demonstrates responsibility.

Hi Priya, I'm really sorry about your laptop. While I was working on our presentation yesterday, the screen suddenly went black and it won't turn back on. I didn't drop it or damage it physically, but I think there might be a battery issue. I've already taken it to the repair shop near campus, and they'll check it tomorrow. I'll cover all the repair costs, and please feel free to use my laptop for the project in the meantime.
