In Write From Dictation you hear a short sentence once and type it exactly. Scoring is one point for each correct word spelled correctly and in the sentence — so a few right words still earn marks, and there is no penalty for a wrong word beyond not getting its point. That's why finishing every word matters, and why spelling counts. This practice tool scores the same way: it checks each word of the sentence against what you typed.
